La evaluación de la vulnerabilidad climática es una buena práctica clave que se utiliza para desarrollar e implementar políticas, planes o programas exitosos que tengan en cuenta el clima. CARE desarrolló una serie de 3 cursos cortos que se centran en la herramienta que el personal de CARE utiliza para esas evaluaciones: el CVCA. Realice este curso para comprender mejor los conceptos básicos del CVCA.

Climate vulnerability assessment is a key good practice used to develop and implement successful climate-sensitive policies, plans or programs. CARE developed a series of 3 short courses that focus on the tool that CARE staff use for those assessments: the CVCA. Take this one to get a better understanding of the basics of the CVCA.

This course is the 2nd of the CVCA series. It focuses on providing you a detailed overview of the different steps of the CVCA process and will learn from other CARE team on how they have used the CVCA.

The aim of this course is to introduce CDRFI and its surrounding political processes. It presents conceptual and policy frameworks, shows practical approaches, and demonstrates integration into national policies and advocacy strategies at the national, regional and international levels. Additionally, it provides insights on CSO engagement and advocacy strategies at all levels, highlighting the benefits, limitations, and challenges of CDRFI solutions.

The aim of this short course is to familiarize participants with or remind participants of the main gender concepts and understand why gender need to be central to humanitarian and development initiatives.

In this course on climate justice and gender justice, you will get a better understanding of how climate justice and gender justice are linked and what is needed to implement gender-transformative and gender-responsive interventions.

El objetivo de este curso (30 minutos como máximo) es familiarizar o recordar a los participantes los principales conceptos de género y comprender por qué el género es fundamental para el trabajo de CARE y de cualquier otra organizacion de solidaridad.

Esto significa que, para muchas mujeres y niñas que viven en la pobreza, las posibilidades de alcanzar una vida mejor se ven amenazadas por una doble injusticia: el cambio climático y la desigualdad de género.

The GCF is the world’s largest climate fund and a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement. It is mandated to support developing countries raise and realize the ambition of their Nationally Determined Contributions towards low-emissions, climate-resilient pathways. This introductory course will help you gain a better understanding of what the GCF is, its structures, and its approach to civil society engagement, gender and social inclusion.

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has a rigorous proposal and approval process. This second course on the GCF provides a guide for preparing proposals that are aligned with the GCF’s requirements. Take this course to gain a better understanding of the different aspects of GCF project proposals, key considerations (including gender) when developing and implementing GCF projects, and the role of CSOs in accessing the GCF and project design.

Le FVC est le plus grand fonds climatique au monde et un élément essentiel de l'accord historique de Paris de 2015. Il a pour mandat d'aider les Pays en développement à rehausser et à concrétiser l'ambition de leurs CDN vers des voies à faibles émissions et résilientes au changement climatique. Compte tenu de l'urgence et de la gravité de la crise climatique, le FVC a pour mandat d'apporter une contribution ambitieuse à la réponse mondiale unifiée au changement climatique. 

Le FVC dispose d'un processus rigoureux de proposition et d'approbation. Ce deuxième cours sur le GCF fournit un guide pour la préparation de propositions conformes aux exigences du GCF. Ce cours vous permettra de mieux comprendre les différents aspects des propositions de projet du GCF, les considérations clés (y compris le genre) lors de l'élaboration et de la mise en œuvre des projets du GCF, et le rôle des OSC dans l'accès au GCF et la conception des projets.

As climate-change is directly increasing poverty and inequalities, it is important for every organization to reduce its own greenhouse gas emissions. The aim of this online course is twofold: (1) creating understanding on why organizations (specifically Civil Society Organizations) must reduce their emissions and (2) providing useful tools and tips to reduce offices’ emissions.

Ce cours comporte deux objectifs. Le premier objectif est d’aider les organisations de la société civile (OSC) à comprendre pourquoi elles doivent réduire leurs émissions de gaz à effet de serre (GES). Le second objectif est de fournir aux OSC un ensemble d’outils pour y parvenir.

Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) are national climate action plans that embody efforts by each country to reduce national emissions and adapt to the impacts of climate change. The aim of this short course is to provide you with an introduction to a) the NDC process b) the role of NDCs in tackling the climate crisis and c)how different crucial elements such as mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, gender, climate finance and participation are addressed within the NDCs.
